The Monkey Takeover

It started when the humans came took all the bananas. The monkeys were hungry, so they followed them into a warehouse. They saw tons of bananas, and went back and gathered more troops. They broke in through a window in the back, and grabbed some. When they got back to the jungle, they saw the humans cutting down their trees. They were not happy. A group of five monkeys stole a Toyota Corolla and drove to the secret monkey cave in North Dakota, making up %100 of the population. They all started storming stores, homes, warehouse, and government buildings. At the end of the raid, they stored all their bananas in a life sized Tomas the Tank engine.

Rad Reading – February

We might be in a drought now, but in the book Dry by Neal and Jarrod Shusterman, the drought is mischievous worse. As the tap water runs dry, panic starts to insure in the residents of Southern California. The tap-out, as it’s called, is makes all the affected run down to the nearest Costco, target, Walmart, or any potential seller of water in hopes of stocking up, and so do 2 of the protagonists of the book, Alyssa and Garret. As they reach the drinks everything’s gone, so they stock up on bags of ice. After they pile up, a kind gentleman helps push it to the checkout, and once they’re there, he tries to take half of them is reward for helping them. Alyssa holds onto the cart, and before things escalate, their Uncle Basil comes and ends. For the next few days, they melt the water in their bathtub and drink it. Eventually, the water in the tub becomes un drinkable, and the family is forced to look for other methods of finding water. Luckily enough, desalination rigs are set up on the beach, so their parents and the rest of the local area goes in hopes of water. The book is great for older readers because it is very action packed, and is very descriptive. My favorite character is Jacqui, because she is very cool and collected, calculating every move, and a quote that proves this is, “I think she’s calculating, and smart.” My favorite line in the book is,”Kingston!” It is my favorite because it is their dog and it is simple.

Twenty-Four Hour Invisibility

There is many things you could do if you were invisible, but if I were invisible, I would rob a bank. I wold start off by waiting in a corner, and when the vault/money storage is opened, I would sneak in behind. I would snatch the key for the lockers away from the person who has it, and then wait for the people in the area to leave. I would then open as many lockers as I could, then trigger the alarm. As the guards/bankers rush in, I can make my exit. I would run out, and away as far as I could. I will find a place to store it, like under my bed or behind a dumpster. Another idea that can be executed with me invisible is scaring people. Lifting random objects, tapping people, making loud footsteps when no one is around. This would be entertaining. Another thing that would be entertaining would be sneaking into the movie theater, and I could also steal popcorn, candy, and soda.
